Privacy Policy — ASTER

Last updated: 2026-10-10

ASTER is a personal, self-hosted household assistant operated for the private use of a single household. This policy describes how the application accesses, uses, stores, and shares Google user data.

Google user data accessed

How the data is used

Data is used solely to operate the household assistant: projecting events onto the family calendar, turning mailbox content into schedule candidates, and archiving application-managed files. Data is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Storage

Data obtained through these APIs is stored only on servers operated by the site owner. OAuth credentials are stored locally and are never transmitted to third parties.

Sharing

Google user data is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties.

Revocation and deletion

Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account → Third-party apps & services. Disconnecting the integration inside the application deletes the stored credentials.
